Some points to look at for these chains are they're gonna last a long time since they made out of that alloy steel. They're gonna be very versatile since they're the square chains and they're diamond-shaped so they can go in a lot of different conditions, and they've got that self-tensioning to them as well. If we look at these individual chain links, they're gonna be square-shaped, and that's gonna give us the ability to really tear through that snow and ice, so they're gonna give us better traction. Cooper here at etrailer and today we're going to be taking a look at the Konig XG-12 Pro Tire Chains on our 2021 Dodge Durango using tire size 265/50-20. Make sure that you use our fit guide here at etrailer to make sure that you're getting the right size tire chains for your right size tires. Additionally, for this car specifically, we are installing them on the rear axle so make sure you go ahead and check your user's manual to see which axle that they recommend you installing your tire chains on. Our tire chains here are gonna have this diamond pattern which is going to get us a lot more coverage across our wheel compared to something like a laddered pattern. Which the ladder pattern really just helps with that starting and stopping, it has a little bit rougher riding than our diamond pattern, which is going to help a lot more with our side to side motions. Taking a little bit closer look into our chains, we can see that they're made of these square links. more

The tire size we're going to be working with is 2655020. These snow tire chains have a diamond pattern, rather than a ladder one so it's going to provide you with more coverage around your tire, plus adding more traction. The square links give you better traction in snow and ice, and because of how small they are, it's going to make for a smoother ride. Today on our 2015 Dodge Durango, we'll be testing Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains with cams, part number TC2828CAM. These tire chains are made of a low carbon steel construction, so they're strong and durable. Now, they have studded twist links from the cross chains, that provide excellent traction in deep snow, and superior grip on ice. Now, it does have built in cam tighteners to make it easy to have a tight secure fit, but there is also a rubber adjuster that is available on our website, part number TCMA2. This is does come with a reusable canvas storage bag, so if you ever wanted to take them off, you have somewhere to put them. And the maximum speed rating for these tire chains is 30 miles an hour, and they do come in a quantity of two. Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains Review - 2013 Dodge Durango- Video

Today on our 2013 Dodge Durango, with tire size 265/60/R18, we'll be test fitting the Glacier cable snow tire chains for light trucks, part number PW3027C. Now to begin our test fit, we'll lay the chains out on the floor and make sure we get out any kinks or knots within the chain. Once we've done this, we'll drape our chains over the tire, making sure that they stay centered with the tire tread. Now the chains themselves do come with a yellow flag on them. The flag indicates the direction of travel for the chains, as well as which side should be facing out. We'll now move to the inside of the tire, where we'll connect the side chain together, taking up as much of the slack within the chain as possible. more

Today on our 2013 Dodge Durango with tire size 265/60/R18s well be test fitting the Thule tire chains, part number TH2004705265, Well begin our test fit by sliding the chains over our tire, making sure that the chains are centered with the tire tread. After we make sure that the chains are draped and centered on the tire well connect the side chained together here on the outside at the 12 oclock position. Well connect the red hook to the red chain link on the other side. Well then make sure that our chains are centered with the tire tread and allow them to move around the tire. Now here at the six oclock position well take the side chain andn our red tension holding device, slide the chain through the holding device and pull it tight. After weve pulled it tight well grab the red hook here at the chain tensioning device and bring it down and hook it into the side chain access that we just ran through the holding device. more

Thule XD16 Snow Tire Chains Review - 2013 Dodge Durango- Video

Today on our 2013 Dodge Durango we'll be test fitting the Thule standard snow tire chains for SUVs, part number TH04805265. Now we'll be mounting these to tire size 265/60/R18. To begin our test fit we'll lay the chains out on the floor and make sure we get any kinks or knots out of the chains themselves. We're now ready to mount them to the vehicle. We'll pass them behind the tire from the rear toward the front of the vehicle. We can then grab both ends of the blue cable and bring them up to the 12 o'clock position here on the inside of the tire where we'll connect the two ends together. more
